The Soccer Sistas bowed out of the Sanlam/Kay Motsepe Schools Cup yesterday. The 10 Limpopo districts played each other in a makeshift round-robin format. Our girls played well, but failed to score a goal on the day, resulting in goalless draws for both their games. It was a sad, unfortunate end to a great season, but we can all be proud of them.
I couldn't be more prouder of this team. They grew from bumbling ballers to a team of great character and resilience.

In my capacity as Principal, and on behalf of the Directors and the entire staff of MEPS, I would like to acknowledge the faith had, dedication and commitment shown in the girls by Mr Chifamba. It rubbed off on them and in turn showed a good return on the time invested in them. We cannot ignore the motherly touch Mrs Kwinda brought in, the quiet, resolute discipline of kit manager and auxiliary support shown by Mulweli Dzumba (Gr 10), as well as the bustling presence of Mr Manzungu when he found the time.

Most of you Educators who had to play catch up after releasing learners earlier for games on school days. The kitchen staff that fed the learners on changed schedules, assisted with some preparations for fundraisers, etc. The laundry staff for ensuring that the kit was always in order. We thank you all!

It wasn't a bad year at all though... District Runners-up: Danone Cup; Polokwane Central Schools Football League: Champions; Provincial Finalists: Sanlam/Kay Motsepe Schools Cup. Not many can boast of such achievement in a year!
We can only grow stronger! βœŠπŸ½πŸ†πŸ…βš½

I fully believe that some of these youngsters will surely be contesting for national colours in the not so distant future.

Congratulations and well done to the entire MEPS Girls Soccer u14/u15 aka Soccer Sistas family! May the Lord continue to bless you, enlarge your territory and strengthen you accordingly πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ’«βœ¨
